I still remember how my heart skipped a beat as I opened the email that announced that my well-earning KDP account had been terminated. In a single moment, the ground beneath me shifted. Still, I had hopes that I could email them and they would reinstate but it's close to a year, and I received no response from them.
I gave up. My account will not be reinstated. I know for sure now.
I waited for a long time for it to start working again because I had built it with so much love and passion. I worked on it day and night.
I was beyond joyful when my first sale came, when sales started pouring in and when I received my first payment.
Just when I thought I had a steady source of income, I lost it all, including nearly ₹23k pending royalties that remained stuck in my account as they terminated my account.
I stopped believing I could earn again, I stopped trying. I felt like earning was not my cup of tea and I wasn't meant to earn.
Growing up, I was taught I never needed to 'earn' money because my father and then my husband will provide for me. That limiting belief is still holding me back. I'm working on breaking this belief for me.
Even though it felt like the universe had pressed a pause on my purpose and dreams, the nagging urge to keep doing something never ended. If I wanted to be glued to screens, I had to make it productive.
I began posting shorts on Youtube, then I began creating e-books, that I certainly can't sell on Amazon, but I can on other platforms like Gumroad.
This time, I am creating to rekindle the fire within me to create again, to create again from my heart. I am now creating to attract, not chase. I am taking inspired actions, and posting this blog post is one of them.
Lessons Learned:
Trust doesn't come from knowing—it comes from surrendering.
• Money can leave, but magic doesn't.
• You are never starting from scratch, you're starting from wisdom.
Remember, If you've lost something that once made you feel powerful, know this: you didn't lose your power, you just forgot where it lives.
